Seems that I am now having a habit of updating my blog only every half a year.
For the last half a year, it has been great, there were some tough times, and great times as well. I did enjoy most of the time. It is just half way through the 4th year of medical school. I can feel the urge of making few decisions in the very near futre, no matter it is about where to work, what to do and how to do as well. I understand that when people grow up, they have to make their own decision, anyway, i still consider myself as 16 years old. hahhaha.. what to do, your mind keeps you young.
It has been great that I have make some progress with my studies, there are 4 more written exams and 2 more practical exams before my graduation if i am lucky! hahha.. hope everything goes fine and I will be fine! hahhahha....
Anyway, I have a new inspired specialty that i would like to do for the future, I am sort of inclining towards paediatrics, i really love this specialty, a lot of doctors are really inspiring and this really makes me feel that i should choose this for my further training. Oh.. I really love the kids as well, they are so cute!!!!

Hi guys, it is another update after half a year, I am really sorry!
However, it is something good to celebrate, 3rd year has come to an end! i am really happy about it, another 2 years to go. how are you guys? erm.. time flies! Just came back from Nanjing, China, completed my SSC there, it was about rehabilitation medicine. At the same time, I have a view of china medical system! it is really money-based. people must pay certain amount of money, then they can only recieve certain treatments!
I do not think it is a really good system, but what to do, i think the government is not really doing their job, they should spend more money on their healthcare! I hope we don't end up in a china hospital at this stage!
4th year is coming.. what to do? Psyc? Ortho? Neuro? O&G? what to do??? aiii.. feel so frustrated!!!!!!!!!
hopefully, everything will be fine!!!!

I am rondomly bored, and feel so stressed about my progress test at Uni of Manchester! I would love to tell you what progress test is!
Basically, it is just a random test for year1 to year 5 medical students. haha! All year 1 to year 5 medical students at University of Manchester would sit for the same exam every half a year. This test is decided to see how good a 5th year student does and how bad would a 1st year student do, and they would like to compare the results among your particular year. Ok, so what is the point of sitting it? It is not really testing what you learnt, just would like to know that u must progress! hahha. erm, i don't really get it, but they have their points of setting such an exam! So, this exam is on Fri, I have been reading my cheese and onion, and feel so tired of reading this book, the words are small and the sentence is not complete, bascially it is annoying!
Ok, I know you guys would love to have some updates about me. I have compeleted my first module at Manchester, to be exact, Preston. hahha, HLB, I was in Cardio, Respi for 5 weeks, ICU for 5 weeks and GP for 4 weeks, in total 14 weeks. I would like to tell you ICU and GP are great! I really love the GP that I followed, he loves to ask us questions, even during the consultation, he asked so what would u order for this patient? I would end up with a blank mind, U&E? FBC? LFT? ESR? CRP? basically I said everything! hahhaha... but it is fun, I feel that I am so involved in the consultation! Then, teaching here is very self directed and we have to initiate and look out for opportunities! When I was in ICU, I did a cannulation in front of my consultant, he said oh, u are so good with needles. I am totally affected, this is like the first time I have a consultant make a compliment on my skills! woohooo, he said it is better than a normal 3rd year. Thanks, Dr. S! hahha. I cannot disclose the name! Probably, I can for compliment, not for the other way round.
Anyway, It is quite a good start of the acadmic year. erm, I am still thinking whether I would like to stay in UK after graduation, I don't really mind, but if I could, probably I will transfer to Singapore. It is just some initial thoughts, I have not decided yet, It all depends!
Don't need to say thanks for the updates, ye all take care!

I must tell u about this place, royal preston hospital, this is the hospital that i will base in for the coming 3 years, quite a medium sized hospital, but staffs are generally nice and helpfuly, they guided me to do a lot of my first TIMES~~~ such as, venepuncture, cannulation, and other type of proedures, going for ward rounds, clinic, and clerking of patients, there are always goods and bads! hahha... Preston is a very far away city, isloated in a far far land! hahhaa.... this place is not rural, but not prosperous!!!!! i can tell u that frds and seniors here are nice!

My new blog entry, i am super super busy during these days, a lot of things to do, so i will just simply let u know what has happened during the IMU ball last night. I went to the shopping mall yesterday morning to see if i need anything for the ball, then i reached home around 3 in the afternoon, then i prepared myself to be ready for the ball.
At around 6:20, we reached the hotel with jae ric's car. The hotel's colour was not attractive at all, but when we walked in, the hotel decoration was just cool!!!! hahhaa... then we went to the atrium kind of place, for chatting, drinking and photos taking!! wakakkakak... Then, there were some perfomances, like the man blew the fire up and the feather girl!!!
Then, we went inside around one hour later, the ball started with some performances from the winner of IMU's got talent, then prom king queen, but for me, i kept taking phots with frds, it was just one of the chances that we would dress up and took photos together before i left malaysia!!!
After the ball, we went to a hotel lobby for a drink, the place was quite cool and pleasant, not so noisy, thus we can chat with each other, we reached home at around 3! wowoww!!! spend the whole day on this!
Enjoy the photos!

Do you feel that you have lost your way? Do you feel that you have forgotten why you wanted to be a doctor?
YES, I DO!
Actually, before I got into IMU, I had had a very strong will to become a doctor, now, sometimes, i felt that why I had to study so hard, for what? for anyone? for money? for people? for what? Somehow, I figure it out, for my dreams, for hopes, and for the future... maybe! Therefore, no one should give up on their dreams, people need to fight to achieve something, like anyone else!!!!
Chinese New Year is coming, people, we should take some rest and enjoy the surroundings!
Last two weeks, I feel that I have done nothing, but I have seen a few friends, like Steven, Alice, erm... but not you, if you are around, it will make a whole lot of difference! Miss you so much! Hope that you will do well in your drama! haha!!!

Another update fir recent activity, yesterday, I went to sunway lagoon(Theme Park) for both dry and wet ones. It was just too fantastic to be there. I enjoyed my time spent with Aslynn, Marcus, Mark, Huey Jen, Sara, buddy, and Vishal, eight of us! We did play different rides and slides.
The greatest part was the water side, becasue HK closed their water park down lots of years ago, due to lack of profit, sicne Hong Kong is a place with 4 seasons, the water park could only open during the summer days!
Let's look at the pictures underneath!!
This is Mark, one of my best friends in IMU!
The picture we have taken we were still wet!
Group picture at the entrance, but this was taken we were going to leave the Park!
hahha... the whole picture focus is one Vishal! The long hair one! COOL!!
haha... you see... both of us are so retarded!

The last few days, I went to the Orang Asli (Aborigines) Hospital to have my placement, to learn about TB patients, Antenatal Check-up, and radiotherapy of cancer patient. I think what they are having really inspired me a lot, since i would not be able to see all these back in Hong Kong or overseas.
Although most of the times, i dont really what they are saying, i can feel that they are in good care at least, malaysians overhere trying to educate them and give them the best care to prevent the wide spread of several infectious diseases. And obviously, in all these orang asli hospitals, the equipments would not be as advanced as town hospital, therefore, the personnel is very well trained and work with fewer equipments. I really admire them a lot!
haha... this is the 2nd time to take photo with kala,.. last time.. was in KKB
This is the Child and Mum Unit!!!! (IBU and ANAK)
Gombak Hospital!!! Heading to the Soup Kitchen!!~~
